Greetings from Pasadena where the crows are cawing and the wild parrots are squawking (their daily choral performance begins around 6:30 a.m., and they return for a reprise at 7 p.m.)

Last week’s post, “Chasing the Market,” which includes a cri de coeur from filmmaker and novelist Charlie Kaufman is available here. I rarely insist that something is “essential reading,” but I think Kaufman’s speech qualifies, especially if you’re also a writer.
