Submission alerts: The National Poetry Series contest for book-length collections (suggested length 48-64 pp - but no set requirements) opens on January 7 and closes on March 21.

Deadline fast approaching: Larry Watson First Novel Prize (scroll down on to the landing page), must be author’s first book in any genre, $1000 advance, publicity/marketing support, 10 author copies, publication by Cornerstone Press, 40,000-75,000 words (query press director—ross.tangedal@uwsp.edu—if longer or shorter), submission deadline Jan. 15, 2026.
